Yesterday we talked about Jesus healing, and rather than Him telling the person He healed that they were healed, He would often tell them instead that their sins were forgiven.
Why would Jesus tell them this? Rather then I fixed you physically, He tells them I fixed you Spiritually. James Chapter 5 has an interesting take on this. Read: James 5: 13-16 What does it mean, that when you pray for the sick, your prayer is for them to be saved, not healed? Could it be that real healing is that of salvation? Of course, Jesus can heal the sick, but isn't it more important that He save us? Luke 19:10 What was Jesus Mission? Prayer: Lord God of heaven, we need your healing, physically and spiritually. Heal our bodies Lord, but more importantly save us, that we can truly be healed.
