A Long Drive Home
This past weekend we where are a conference, it was a great conference, lots of good learning opportunities. However, we were late arriving. The day the conference began, I had the privilege of taking my girls skiing with their school. We left to go skiing at 6 AM. Drove two hours. Skied all day. Drove home, packed then drove 4 more hours to the beach for the conference. By the time we got to the beach it was 11:30 PM.
It made for a long day and a weekend of tired girls and playing catch up. You have had those days, those weeks. You know what I mean. Good but long. Well, today we drove home.
Here we are home sweet home. You know the feeling. Awh! Yes! Home! A place of peace and comfort. A place of rest. A place to relax. And even though you have a van load of things to unpack. It's always good to be home.
When I sit and think about that feeling, that refreshment. I think about heaven. How good is it going to be to join Jesus at home?
Think about that.
